Asturias is part of the "Green Spain". Here is much lush nature and plenty of interesting rural accommodation. The coast is interesting and see "Picos de Europa" (Cantabria) for more information about the mountain area.

But Oviedo with it's 200 000 inhabitants is a better choice for a visitor. The historical centre of Oviedo is pretty nice and the town do have some good hotels.

Ribadesella (6 000 inhabitants) is a nice, small costal town with a marvellous location. During the summer time here is many Spanish tourists.

Along Costa Verde, "the green coast", there are several small villages and much great nature.
