Not many towns can beet the location of Albarracín. There is also the remains of a Moorish fortification. We can mostly stroll around in this delightful town without having tourists all around.

Just like in Sigüenza in Castilla - La Mancha, Alcañiz do have a former castle, now a Parador, at the top of the town. To stay here one night will be a good choice. The town with it's 15 000 inhabitants do also have other interesting buildings.

The small town of Calaceite with it's 1 200 inhabitants, isn't as spectacularly situated as Albarracín. But we do find many nice houses and some good accommodation in Calaceite.

Móra de Rubileos and Rubielos de Móra are situated 13 kilometres apart. In Móra de Rubielos (1 400 inhabitants) we'll find an old castle, a very interesting church and a medieval centre. Rubielos de Móra (600 inhabitants) do have several old and nice houses and an interesting accommodation alternative.

Medieval Tourism: Valderrobres

Valderrobres is a small (2 000 inhabitants) and cosy town with tiny streets, old houses and a huge castle. Fonda la Plazza, on the photo above offers simple accommodation. Another option is to stay over night in La Fresneda or Funetespalda, just 11-13 km away where there are two very good hotels. Those two villages are smaller than Valderrobres.
