Aracena with it's 5 000 inhabitants is beautifully situated with white houses and it's Moorish Castel. If you are just driving by, make a lunch stop in Aracena before you visit La Gruta de las Maravillas (a cave) which are found below the town. You will be able to go 1 km inside the cave and there are several small lakes.

The area of Sierra de Aracena (Aracena mountains) do have several other interesting small towns as well (like Almonaster La Real) and much interesting nature at offer.

In 1492 Columbus left from Palos de la Frontera and soon a new continent was discovered. The nearby town of Moguer is far more attractive than Palos de la Frontera. Here you will find two convents, Convento de Santa Clara and Monasterio de San Francisco. There are no good accommodation alternatives in Moguer.

Muralla Urbana de Niebla

A Roman bridge, aqueduct, churches and a 3 km city wall are some key words here. The town is at the railway line between Sevilla and Huelva which makes a day trip to Niebla pretty easy if you visit Sevilla. There are no good accommodation alternatives in Niebla.

Convent of Rábida

500 years ago 3 ships set sail in Palos de la Frontera and the voyage changed the history of Europe. Today there are three replicas of the ships to be found in La Rábida, 3 km outside Palos. There is located a marvellous old convent in La Rábida as well. If you walk from La Rábida to Palos along Avenida de América, you'll pass by many beautiful "azulejos" which are donated by different regions of Spain and countries of America.

Palos de La Frontera is today beautifully restored and is an ideal town for a nights stay.
