On our first visit to Toledo, we had a delicious lunch
at this hotel. In January 2004 we stayed here for a couple of nights. We
arrived in the evening when it was dark outside, but the hotel which for 200
years ago was the residence of Toledo's arch bishop, was enlightened and
looked like a real palace. There aren't any luxury inside, but plenty of
atmosphere. The hotel is situated in the city wall, which makes it easy
accessible with car and close to the historic centre. This hotel is highly
recommended. |

The Parador is a not too interesting modern building,
but the view is just fantastic. From the balconies and the dining room, the
mighty city of Toledo is shown in panorama. The Parador do have a huge pool.
It's a very nice stroll to walk from the Parador and down to the city
centre. But it's too long a stroll to make several time a day. We would
recommend to stay in the city centre, take a taxi to the Parador for a
panorama lunch and walk back to the city! |
