The central Spain west and north of Madrid is named Castilla y Léon. This region covers an extensive area, but isn't dense populated. Here are plenty of old historical towns and buildings. While other European towns got many ugly new buildings during the 20th century, not much were built in Castilla. This region has therefore today got many interesting historic towns. In these historical towns, we often find several very interesting hotels in old historical buildings. There are also some very nice rural accommodation, but not as much as on Mallorca or in Andalusia or Northern Spain.

The service was superb and the interior is elegant in a very nice way. The breakfast was very good and elegant served. If you want a small luxurious hotel where the hosts aren't stiff, but just very nice and friendly, this is the hotel for you. Not many hotels in Spain is more worth visiting!
