Have you ever heard about Extremadura? In this region we find a lot of enchanting historic towns with old buildings made into lovely hotels. There are few other places in Spain where we can get such reasonable priced and interesting accommodation. The summer is much too hot here, the winters are cold, but the sun makes it warmer during day time. The spring and autumn are the best seasons for a visit. Arriving in Madrid by plane, you can spend a week travelling around in Extremadura and stay at several lovely hotels. Or you can stop here on your way from Madrid to lovely Andalusia. Another option is combining some of the interesting towns of Castilla with some days in Extremadura.

When you walk out the entrance you are in the middle of Cáceres' medieval heart. Very few places in Spain have that many medieval houses to be found in such a cloister. And this Parador is one of the most interesting of all Paradors in Spain.
