Alentejo is one of the poorer parts of Portugal. To visit this area is just like travelling back in the history. The very interesting town of Évora is the area's highlight. Here is also much beautiful nature. If you rent a car, it's possible to combine Alentejo with a visit to Andalusia and Extremadura in Spain. Alentejo is very hot in summer, spring and autumn is the best seasons to visit. There are very many interesting accommodation alternatives in the district of Évora. |
