This family-owned hotel in Dresdner Neustadt (just
outside the old centre of Dresden) offers accommodation full of atmosphere
and superb service. The old restored centre (Altstadt) is just a 10-12 min
walk away and there are plenty of restaurants nearby the hotel in Dresdner
Neustadt. A 5-7 min walk will bring you to Aussere Neustadt with the "Kneipenviertel"
where there are bars for every taste. The tourists gather in Altstadt, but
in the "Kneipenviertel" you will find local young people and one of Germanys
most interesting nightlife scenes.
We have experienced a familiar good service at the
reception and a quiet and very tasteful breakfast buffet. Just remember to ask
for a room facing the back yard, not the busy street in the front. And on
warm summer days you'll need a fan (which the reception will be glad to
provide). The rooms are spacious and very beautiful decorated. Many city
hotels offer a busy and very noisy breakfast, but not at the Bayerischer
Hof! The buffet offers selected and utterly tasty food and the waitress will
serve you coffee, eggs and whatever you would like. Bayerisher Hof is like a
luxury hotel where the service is friendly and not stiff and you won't be
ruined.
